I grew up in Harrisonburg, Virginia, in the scenic Shenandoah Valley. I lived in Pennsylvania for nine years, studying math and computer science at Messiah College and earning a Ph.D. in math at the University of Pennsylvania in 2011. After that, I taught math and computer science at Huntington University in Indiana for two years. I married my wife, Sarah, in December 2011. From August 2013 to August 2015, I was a postdoctoral fellow at the Institute for Mathematics and its Applications. I started teaching math at St. Olaf College in fall 2015.
I took the following photos, except for the ones in which I am pictured. If you refresh this page, you will see different photos!
